Meet Sam Ash

Sam Ash, CPA, CFP® founded Summit Bookkeeping & Advisory with a clear belief: that a business owner's financial life and personal life are deeply intertwined, and you can't meaningfully address one without understanding the other.

Sam brings extensive experience in tax planning, compliance, and bookkeeping for small to mid-sized businesses, alongside a broad background in wealth management and financial planning. Over the course of his career, he has worked with business owners at every stage, from managing day-to-day financial operations for growing small businesses to navigating complex estate and business planning considerations for ultra-high-net-worth clients. His advice has helped business owners save over seven figures.

That range of experience gives Sam a perspective most bookkeepers simply don't have. He works directly with clients on monthly financial reporting, clean bookkeeping systems, and complex tax matters including entity structuring, owner compensation, and long-term planning. His background in wealth management means he understands how business performance, personal finances, and long-term goals all connect, and he brings that understanding to every client relationship.

Sam takes the time to learn each client's goals, priorities, and definition of success. His role is to provide honest insight, reliable execution, and financial clarity that supports both smart business decisions and the life each client is working to build.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Sam attended college in New York and now lives and works in Dallas, Texas. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and kids, staying active, working out, playing video games, enjoying a good cigar, and making the case that LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time.
